CDP Accounting was established in Cape Town by Charl du Plessis in 1999 after he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1994. Initially the firm operated under various arrangements within other firms, but in 2006 it was set up as an independent firm. Soon the good honest hard work paid off and the increasing client base caused CDP to trade their home office practice for a house in Melkbosstrand in 2008. It still serves as the hub of the firm. However, in only a few years, the firm branched out and established office in Bellville, currently headed up by Eduard Nel (Professional Accountant (SA)).
Our latest developments include an office in Tygerberg, and another one in Helderberg under the leadership of Owen Pretorius – Professional Accountant (SA).
From the start our core values have been aligned with those of the professional societies (SAICA and SAIPA) that we belong to, and is underpinned by unflinching ethical integrity that we continuously strive to uphold.

None of our directors at CDP fit any financial administrator cookie cutter mould; therefore we do not expect any of our employees or associates to do either.
